Day 01. Arrival Delhi
Midnight arrival in Delhi, the cosmopolitan city and capital of India. Our representative will receive and transfer you to hotel. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 02. Delhi
The morning is at leisure. In the afternoon you head on a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi. You visit the Mughal era monuments Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Humayun's Tomb. You also visit Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. A rickshaw ride through the old city is an exciting activity that you enjoy on your sightseeing tour of Old Delhi. Before proceeding to the hotel, we take you on a drive through New Delhi where you see the India Gate, Parliament House and President's House. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 03. Delhi - Agra
In the morning you visit one of the oldest monuments in Delhi-the Qutab Minar. The monument is 71 meter high and has five stories. Later, drive to Agra-the city of the Taj. Agra is about 200 kilometers from Delhi.
Day 04. Agra
Start your sightseeing tour of Agra by visiting the Agra Fort, which was built by three Mughal emperors. Akbar started the construction but died before the fort was complete. His son Jehangir continued the construction of the fort, later son of Jehangir-Shah Jahan-added new structures to the massive fort. After visiting Agra fort, we head to visit the most beautiful monument of India, the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1631-52, as a tomb and memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. After the visit of Taj Mahal, we proceed to have a look at the famous fine marble inlay work, which is still done in Agra. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 05. Agra - Bhandarej
Proceed to Bhandarej in the morning. En-route stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was once an imperial capital of the Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century. The wonderful city constructed by red sandstones was abandoned as abruptly as it had been built, apparently for lack of water. In the evening arrive in Bhandarej. Check in at the hotel. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 06. Bhandarej - Ranthambore
After breakfast drive to the Ranthambore National park. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. After a break and refreshment proceed to explore the park on a opne Jeep. Ranthambore Park is home a large number of animals and birds. It comes under the Project Tiger and is a tiger reserve. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 07. Ranthambore - Kota
In the early morning proceed to explore the park on open jeeps. . In the park, you come across various animals and birds. If you are lucky you may spot a tiger. Besides tiger, the park is home to various other animals like Sambhar, Cheetal, Wild Boar, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Jackal and Hyena. Afterwards, we proceed for Kota. Kota was once part of the erstwhile Rajput kingdom of Bundi. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 08. Kota - Bundi - Kota
After breakfast proceed to the fort city of Bundi. Bundi is famous for its baoris (step wells). On the top of the hill is located the Taragarh Fort of Bundi, which is worth a visit. After the day's excursion we return to Kota in the evening. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 09. Bundi - Chittorgarh
After breakfast we drive to Chittorgarh. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Later visit the famous Chittorgarh Fort. Explore the other sites like ruined palaces and mansions. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 10. Chittorgarh - Pushkar
Drive to Pushkar from Chittorgarh, which is 205 kilometers away. Pushkar is one of the most religious sites for Hindus. Pushkar has the only temple of God Brahma, which makes Pushkar an important pilgrimage city for Hindus. Pushkar is also world famous for Pushkar Festival which takes place in the month of November every year. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. After a short break, we proceed to visit the Pushkar Lake and the Brahma Temple. Overnight in the hotel.
(This tour can also be taken during the Pushkar Fair in the month of November, in that case tourists spend two nights in Pushkar instead of one)
Day 11. Pushkar - Jodhpur
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur, which 220 kilometers away. Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan and is also known as the blue city as most of the houses of the old city are painted blue. The old city is surrounded by a 10 km long wall, which has 101 bastions and seven gates. On your tour of Jodhpur you visit the Mehrangarh Fort, which was built on a steep hill. The fort is among the best in India with exquisitely latticed windows in residential apartments. Later proceed to visit the Jaswant Thada, a royal cenotaph built in white marble. You also stroll down the markets of Jodhpur. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 12. Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
After breakfast drive to Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer is famous for its beautifully carved havelis. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 13. Jaisalmer
The day is marked to visit various important places in Jaisalmer, which include the Jaisalmer Fort, and the havelis. In the afternoon drive to some 40 km away from Jaisalmer to Sam dunes where enjoy the sunset before driving back to Jaisalmer.
Day 14. Jaisalmer - Bikaner
After breakfast drive to Bikaner via Osian. En-route you stop at Osian, which is a centre of Hindu and Jain religions. You get to see various temples in Osian. The oldest temple here was constructed in 1178 AD. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. After a short break proceed to explore Bikaner. Proceed to visit the Junagarh Fort built in red sandstone and marble. You visit the various mansions and palaces inside the fort. In the evening drive to Deshnok to visit Karni Devi Temple, which is famous for rats. Later drive back to Bikaner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 15. Bikaner - Mandawa
After breakfast drive to Mandawa, which lies in the Shekhawati region. Upon arrival in Mandawa check in at the hotel. Shekhawati region lies in the north east of Rajasthan and is home to Marwari community. The region is famous for its beautifully designed havelis. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 16. Mandawa - Delhi
In the morning visit the grand havelis of the Shekhawati area. The walls of the havelis are often covered with murals, local legends and religious scenes from Hindu Mythology. Later we proceed to Delhi. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 17. Delhi
Transfer to airport to catch the flight back home. Tour ends.
